Advanced Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment, also referred to as endodontic therapy, may certainly have a bit of a reputation, but with today’s technology and our experienced dental team, they’re nothing to fear! At View Dental, we successfully perform root canal therapy across all our locations using modern tools and techniques designed to make the procedure as efficient and comfortable as possible.
What Is a Root Canal?
Inside each tooth is a soft tissue called the pulp, which contains blood vessels and nerves. When this tissue becomes inflamed, infected, or dies (often due to deep decay or trauma), a root canal treatment is performed to remove the damaged pulp and clean and seal the tooth’s inner canals.
Why Might I Need a Root Canal?
Root canals are typically recommended when a tooth is:
Severely decayed
Infected or abscessed
Damaged by trauma
Causing persistent pain or sensitivity
This treatment helps preserve your natural tooth, preventing the need for extraction and avoiding shifting of surrounding teeth or the need for replacing it with an artificial tooth.
What to Expect
Most root canals can be completed right in our office, often in just one or two visits. We use advanced rotary instrumentation for precise, gentle cleaning of the canals. Local anesthesia ensures a pain-free experience, and we take care to walk you through each step of the procedure.
If your case is more complex, your dentist may refer you to a trusted endodontic specialist within our network. We will handle the referral process for you, making your experience seamless and stress-free.
